Q: What does being a Member of CHIME mean to you?
A: CHIME is one of those very unique relationships that one finds in their career. It is a family, a professional family, and like all families, a place you can count on for guidance and support with your challenges, creating opportunities, and to have meaning by giving and making an impact in your communities.
Q: What excites you about the current and/or future state of digital health?
A: The most exciting aspect of digital health is its positive direct impact upon our patients, and the accelerated pace of bringing this future into our current lives into today’s needs.
Q: How would you define your role in the health and care industry?
A: The CIO role is ever-changing, commonly becoming one with the CDO role, and together, are of the most critical importance. It encompasses not only the foundation of information through technology, but also drives key strategic imperatives leading digital through transformation, innovation, investment, analytics, and a host of other key success drivers.
Q: As a current digital health leader, what professional advice would you give to yourself 20 years ago?
A: Always be a student for life – To have a passion for learning and listening. This is a key ingredient of CHIME, as it provides a network of brilliant people and innovative ideas.
Q: When you think of what is required to be a successful healthcare leader, which do you feel is the most important to you personally and why?
A: Leadership, as true leadership embodies all of these-creativity, innovation, and diversity, and much more.
