The CHIME Education Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) organization that provides scholarships and tuition assistance to CHIME members and future healthcare leaders to attend a variety of educational conferences and professional development programs.

History & Mission
Since 2007, the CHIME Education Foundation has directly supported the professional development of emerging digital health leaders. The healthcare IT environment continues to evolve at a rapid pace, and the need for qualified, committed professionals is increasingly critical. We’re helping current and future healthcare IT leaders develop the essential skill sets to lead their organizations effectively and have a greater impact on the improved delivery of healthcare through career-defining scholarship opportunities.
Our mission remains the same each year, increase the number of scholarship opportunities available to provide as many deserving applicants as possible with the opportunity to advance as the next generation of healthcare leaders driving success and innovation.

CHIME Healthcare CIO Boot Camp™ Scholarships - ViVE 2025
Eligibility: Current CHIME members and their teams, or members of AEHIS, AEHADA or AEHIT; and 3 years of healthcare IT leadership.
Event Date: February 13-16, 2025 in Nashville, TN

The primary objective of the Healthcare CIO Boot Camp™ scholarship is to enable attendees to move ahead in their profession and, in particular, to help them develop their skills so they can become increasingly successful in a leadership role.

Dan L. Dodson Women & Minority Healthcare CISO Boot Camp Scholarship
Eligibility: Current CHIME members and their teams, or members of AEHIS, AEHADA or AEHIT; and 3 years of healthcare IT leadership.
Event Information: A Comprehensive 7-Week Virtual Program. Seven (7) Weekly sessions (day/time TBD) the weeks of Jan 27, Feb 3, Feb 10, Feb 24, Mar 3, Mar 10, Mar 17

The Dan L. Dodson Women & Minority Healthcare CISO Boot Camp Scholarship was established by Fortified Health Security CEO Dan L. Dodson. Dan has personally donated funds to sponsor a full registration scholarship for CHIME Healthcare CISO Boot Camp education program each year throughout a 5-year scholarship program. The CHIME Education Foundation is thankful for Dan’s commitment to advancing the digital health IT security field through an initiative aimed to support diversity in the digital health community.
Richard A. Correll Scholarship – $2,500
Eligibility: Current CHIME members and their teams
Application Deadline: Closed
The Richard Correll Scholarship was funded by Mr. Correll who has a vested interest in the education and professional development of CIOs in the healthcare industry. He has dedicated his career to supporting and forwarding the CIO Profession. The scholarships are aimed at supporting CIOs and their team in improving their skills as an IT leader at their organization and increasing their proficiency in CHIME’s seven CIO Success Factors. CHIME members are encouraged to forward the application to their team or personally apply to seek further professional development.

John Glaser Scholarship – $2,500
Eligibility: Current CHIME Members and their direct reports.
Application Deadline: Closed
The John Glaser Scholarship was created as a testament to Mr. Glaser’s unique vision of quality educational and networking opportunities for healthcare CIOs. CHIME members are encouraged to forward the application to dedicated, high achieving staff members who show enthusiasm for the field and have great potential for advancement. CHIME Members who seek to further their professional leadership skills are also encouraged to apply.

Stoltenberg 25-year Future Fund – $2,000

The Stoltenberg 25-year Future Fund is the result of a very generous donation to the CHIME Education Foundation by Stoltenberg Consulting, Inc. Recipients may use the funding for education including but not limited to CHIME’s Healthcare CIO Boot Camp, CISO Boot Camp, Clinical Informatics Boot Camp, Fall CIO Forum, ViVE and more!

CHIME24 CIO Fall Forum Scholarships

The CIO Forum Scholarship was created to promote leadership education and development to IT professionals in the healthcare industry. The scholarship will provide funding for a CHIME member to attend the Fall CIO Forum.
