About this session
As organizations evolve their role to (re)shape the health ecosystem of the future, we recognize the enormity of the challenges our teams will face on their journey – particularly with digital health.
Healthcare has multitudes of user groups and stakeholders. It’s a complex landscape of providers, payers, patients, products, and services that can be difficult to map and understand. Digital health innovation is further complicated by implementation, support, and cost challenges.
Enter Service Design—an intuitive, proven methodology that places equal value on the user experience and the mechanisms that enable that experience, including technology, operations, and data.
In this Hospital example, a Service Design process looks to understand and map everything from the patient and clinician’s surgery journey (front stage) to the employees, signage, processes, and technology necessary for the hospital to deliver care (back stage).
This unique co-developed educational opportunity from CHIME and Medtronic is made available through the virtual innovation lab partnership. Medtronic applies Service Design in its partner engagements as its role in the digital health ecosystem evolves and grows.
In this session we will:
- Provide an intro to Service Design and how it can be applied with 3 quick case studies
- Walk you through an interactive activity so you can see the impact of Service Design first-hand
