Certified Digital Health (CDH) Program


The Certified Digital Health (CDH) Program is designed for all healthcare professionals looking to or currently serving in the healthcare digital space.  This program is designed to test one’s knowledge and understanding in the larger healthcare IT industry.  The program outlines three levels of certification: Professional, Leader, and Executive.  Based on one’s leadership experience and positional standing will make them eligible for one level of certification testing.  Credentialing is based on meeting the requirements outlined, continuing educational credits, and passing the CDH level examination.


This is a self-paced certification program.  Learners will have access to course content and the exam for 6 months from the time of enrollment.  The CDH qualifying exam will need to be completed within those 6 months.

CDH-P Program


Certified Digital Health – Professional (CDH-P)


CDH-P Program enrollment introductory pricing: $195. Enrollment into the program includes:


  • CDH-P program application
  • CDH-P exam study materials that include the reading materials divided by domain, CDH-P practice exams, CDH-P Exam Blueprint, and study plans to help with your studies
  • CDH-P examination


Eligible candidates include, but not limited to: management positions, sales, marketing, or entry-level healthcare positions in the industry.  Graduate students seeking careers in the healthcare space are also eligible to enroll, pending experience.


Individuals taking this program will be tested on their experience in the following areas:

  • Understand digital healthcare technologies and regulations
  • Support governance structures and processes
  • Apply, respond to, and sustain changes within organization
  • Identify common terminology and differentiate between project, program, and process
  • Identify and support emerging technologies and solutions across the continuum of care
  • Recognize cybersecurity risks and threats and identify solutions
  • Recognize and describe hardware and software applications
  • Identify stakeholders and develop transactional relationships
  • Recognize modern healthcare frameworks and understand continuum of care supported by technology
  • Describe the importance of data governance, vision, and strategy


Eligibility Requirements:

1 year in healthcare occupation OR Digital Health Professional Certificate OR Healthcare related degree

CDH-L Program


Certified Digital Health – Leader (CDH-L)


CDH-L Program enrollment introductory pricing: $395. Enrollment into the program includes:


  • CDH-L program application
  • CDH-L exam study materials that include the reading materials divided by domain, CDH-L practice exams, CDH-L Exam Blueprint, and study plans to help with your studies
  • CDH-L examination


Eligible candidates include, but not limited to:

team/client leads, specialists, frontline workers, directors and other similar positions within the healthcare field.


Individuals taking this program will be tested on their experience in the following areas:

  • Work closely with executive team to achieve organizational strategy
  • Lead team development and assess internal gaps
  • Knowledge of technology infrastructure
  • Security governance, privacy, and compliance
  • Guide change management and evaluate workflows
  • Engage in value assessment and solutions
  • Understand digital posture and ability to identify and anticipate constituent expectations, needs, and risks
  • Learning and development strategy
  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders


Eligibility Requirements:

1 to 3 years’ healthcare leadership experience OR CHIME/A-Group Membership OR CHIME Boot Camp or Leadership Academy

CDH-E Program


Certified Digital Health – Executive (CDH-E)


CDH-E Program enrollment introductory pricing: $395. Enrollment into the program includes:  


  • CDH-E program application
  • CDH-E exam study materials that include the reading materials divided by domain, CDH-E practice exams, CDH-E Exam Blueprint, and study plans to help with your studies
  • CDH-E examination


Eligible candidates include, but not limited to:

senior-level positions with the healthcare organization


Individuals taking this program will be tested on their experience in the following areas:

  • Executive leadership driving strategic decisions
  • Oversee governance processes with advanced digital healthcare knowledge
  • Understand and evaluate technology application, cost, and infrastructure
  • Mitigate risks, identify solutions, and assess business continuity strategy
  • Understand impact of interdepartmental relationships and processes
  • Lead effective communication between all stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Participate in cross organizational interactions with knowledge of roles within organization


Eligibility Requirements:

3 years’ healthcare executive experience OR CHCIO/CHISL Status

All candidates need a minimum of 10 CEUs earned within the last year from their examination date and to have passed the CDH level exam to earn their credential.


To Obtain the Certification


CDH certification status requirements:

1) Fulfill the application requirements of the program,

2) Successfully pass the CDH qualifying exam,

3) Complete 10 qualifying Continuing Education Units (CEUs) within the 24 months prior or 12 months after sitting for the examination.

CDH Exam & Resources

All CDH program examinations consist of 125 multiple choice questions, including scenario-based and independent questions. The examination will be taken without the aid of study guides or other resources. The CDH examination is delivered online through CHIME U and available 24/7. Exam Study Materials Upon completed enrollment into the CDH program you will receive a login to access the CDH program within CHIME U. Within this program includes 6 months of access to exam study materials including CDH specific exam blueprint, readings, practice exams, self-scored gap assessment, and study plans to help as you prepare.

The CDH Professional, Leader, and Executive program exam blueprints all differ and are specific to each competency level.

A collection of articles and books that comprise the exam.  Each reference provided is a supporting resource for the exam.

Similar written exam questions to allow the learner to get a feel for how the questions are written by our subject matter experts.

Self evaluation of one’s level of readiness based on the examination blueprint metrics.

A 4 month outline that keeps you progressing forward and provides a time expectation for completing the program.
