Building a Central Platform for Managing Privacy and Security Risk Assessments
**Session is currently full**
Healthcare organizations typically perform privacy and security risk assessments in silos, managing them in different tools that may include Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, rudimentary survey tools, or custom-built applications. The current process and tools are duplicative, ineffective and result in additional cost to the organization in terms of time and resources. Additionally, it slows down the process of resolving control deficiencies and compliance gaps, leaving the organization susceptible to greater levels of risk for longer periods of time.
During this session, we will discuss the value of a centralized database for managing all data related to risk assessments, findings, and remediation actions and a single system to manage workflow steps required to complete associated business processes. Participants will be invited to talk about the process and tools they currently use to perform risk assessments and provide feedback on potential new software-driven solutions.
