Data-first approach to understanding and solving real-world health issues
As healthcare continues to evolve, understanding data has become increasingly critical to being able to make the right decisions at the right time. At City of Hope, we replaced traditional data silos and manual processes with a modern and centralized approach to managing our data and facilitating this research.
Our visualization-first approach has enabled us to better manage, understand, and utilize our data for research and discovery to improve health. Specifically, our team of population cancer scientists have been collecting and analyzing real-world data to discover what differs between the healthy and the ill. The work we do with data visualization can easily translate to activities that occur in disease and patient registries, in exploration of social determinants of health, and in population health.
