Data Matters: The Ins and Outs of a Successful Data Migration Strategy
Event Information
Quality data is becoming more of a necessity as technology advances healthcare. When taking into consideration the costs of migrating EHR systems, foresight may only lead you to the point of Go-Live. But what happens in the following 6, 12, and 18 months? Unexpected turbulence caused by gaps in patient information, and the efficacy of the new EHR system often leave healthcare systems having no choice but to re-invest into their old systems, and also asking their clinicians to spend too much time completing data entry work.
Developing a sound data migration strategy begins with understanding some basic principles of how the process works. In this session, we dig into some of the implications that should be considered prior to allocating resources on your long-term data strategy.
