Embracing Automation in Healthcare – Lessons learned in RPA – 2pm
We invite leaders from health systems to share their perspectives on how they’re currently using their Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to improve outcomes and reduce costs today, and their visions for how they want leverage automation to maximize their value-based payment model metrics.
Healthcare organizations across the country are experimenting with innovative RPA tools and strategies. RPA tools can provide a tremendous opportunity for healthcare providers to alleviate some of the administrative burdens that plague healthcare delivery while also assisting clinicians in making decisions about patient care. The improvements in clinical outcomes and cost benefit rates of these cutting edge RPA pilots vary wildly and the adoption of RPA in the healthcare industry lags behind that of many other industries. What are the drivers that have an impact or hinder organizational adoption of RPA utilization? What type of governance structure should organizations employ to encourage appropriate RPA deployment? How should healthcare organizations determine what processes are appropriate for RPA?
- Identify barriers and opportunities for RPA adoption from both clinical and operational teams
- Summarize the needs for bridging EHR systems to RPA
- List key metrics for RPA program success
- Explain limitations in the current state of evolution in the RPA marketplace
