  • EVALUATION
  • All CHIME and AEHIA/S/T Foundation partners and their team members are welcome to join us for this opportunity to hear from our esteemed CHIME member faculty. This program is dynamic; a blend of educational and interactive components.

In two back to back sessions, Foundation partners will learn from our CIO/CMIO faculty and gain valuable insights and understanding. Participants will enjoy the two panel-style sessions, which will also include post-panel breakout rooms for the chance to hear directly from a panelist and Q&A time.

    1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. ET – COVID-19 Vaccine: Hits and Misses

The hyper-rapid development of multiple COVID-19 vaccines and the logistics to distribute and administer these vaccines on an unprecedented scale has spawned new challenges for healthcare organizations. Join this panel of health IT leaders as they share their experiences executing a vaccination rollout strategy to the masses. We’ll lead an open discussion on topics including:

    • Vaccine rollout IT successes and pitfalls
    • Emerging cybersecurity concerns targeting the vaccine distribution process
    • Technology improvements needed to better distribute the vaccine

2:45 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. ET – New regulations, New rules- What is the impact?

CMS will begin to enforce new requirements under the Interoperability and Patient Access final rule on July 1, 2021. The changing regulatory environment has many healthcare executives rethinking strategy and operations planning and the way they manage, share and secure patient data. Aligning for interoperability also adds another layer of complexity to an already long list of responsibilities that IT bears as their organizations deal with COVID-19 illness and vaccinations at a time of heightened cybersecurity threats. In this panel discussion CHIME members will share their healthcare executive points of view on:

    • Critical “need to know” highlights of the Interoperability and Patient Access final rule
    • The impact that the final rule is expected to have on healthcare provider orgs, particularly IT
    • Ways that CHIME Foundation Partners can be helpful to their customers as the deadline approaches
