Join the CHIME Policy Steering Committee (PSC) and leadership from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) to explore the latest coming out of Washington, D.C. The Administration has issued a call to action around interoperability and ensuring patients are always at the center of their care. This session will explore current and future policy changes related to interoperability, as well as new information regarding telemedicine, documentation, and more. Join us for this information-packed session to learn what you can expect for 2019.

- Explore how CMS is pushing interoperability and policies to put patients at the center of their care
- Discuss the path forward on telemedicine and connected care reimbursement
- Identify policies aimed at reducing burdens on clinicians
- Explain efforts to synchronize clinician and hospital Promoting Interoperability requirements
- Outline how engaging in advocacy for you and your organization can really pay off and discuss how you can get involved in CHIME’s advocacy efforts

CHIME Diversity Committee Launch

Members of the CHIME Diversity Committee will discuss initiatives to create a broadly inclusive workforce by encouraging people from all races, ethnicities and belief systems to pursue careers in healthcare IT. CHIME Diversity Committee Chair, Cletis Earle, and other committee members will share strategies in their organizations designed to support and sustain diversity programs, as well as ways they have successfully engaged with youth in their communities.
