The Seven CIO Success Factors
Through extensive research, CHIME has identified seven critical and develop-able competencies that are inherent of successful healthcare CIOs. These CIO Success Factors form the foundation of the Healthcare CIO Boot Camp teachings. Gaining an understanding of the seven critical skills intrinsic in high-performing CIOs, participants will learn how to apply them to their own situation.
- Set Vision and Strategy
- Make Change Happen
- Demonstrate IT’s Business Value
- Instill Customer Service as a Core Value
- Build a High Performance IT Organization
- Build Networks and Community
- Contemporary Best Practices
The Healthcare CIO Boot Camp is designed specifically for healthcare IT professionals seeking to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to become successful at the CIO level. The teachings are equally appropriate for current CIOs looking to sharpen and enhance their leadership skills.
During this intensive 3 ½ day program, participants will:
LEARN the keys to CIO success
There are seven critical and developable factors at the root of every healthcare CIO’s success. At the Healthcare CIO Boot Camp, you’ll learn to embrace these seven success factors and focus development efforts on building the right skills you need to reach your goals.
LEVERAGE the knowledge of leading thinkers in the industry
Instruction is provided by a faculty of healthcare CIOs who have demonstrated continued success, leadership, and organizational excellence in their careers. The Healthcare CIO Boot Camp is the only program of its kind taught exclusively by industry CIOs.
REINFORCE teachings with interactive exercises and personal coaching
This isn’t your everyday lecture series. The Healthcare CIO Boot Camp provides expert instruction with a personal touch. To reinforce the teachings, you will be paired with a faculty member who will serve as your mentor and personal coach throughout the program.
COLLABORATE with peers facing the same issues and challenges
The Healthcare CIO Boot Camp maximizes participant involvement through a collaborative teaching methodology combining presentations, small group discussion, case study analysis, progressive problem solving, and personal mentoring. Due to the highly interactive nature of this program, enrollment is limited to 50 participants.
PREPARE for the CHIME Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO) Program
There is significant overlap in the reference material utilized in both the Healthcare CIO Boot Camp and the CHCIO Examination development. The CHCIO Examination is built upon the prior research and development that went into the CIO Success Factors. While attendance at the Healthcare CIO Boot Camp is not mandatory, it is the best way to prepare for the examination.
BUILD a strong network to help you on your way
In this innovative learning environment, you will forge valuable new relationships and establish a network of resources, sharing challenges and solutions both during the Boot Camp and beyond.
