CHIME/AEHIS Healthcare CISO Boot Camp
This Boot Camp is an intensive three and one-half day education program taught by a faculty of healthcare security thought leaders. Combining presentations, small group discussions, case studies and interactive problem solving, participants learn the real-world skills necessary to become a successful healthcare CISO.
Participation in the Boot Camp is currently limited to members of CHIME, AEHIS, AEHIT, and AEHIA, and their direct reports (including Affiliates). Why Attend
The Healthcare CISO Boot Camp is designed specifically for healthcare IT professionals seeking to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to become successful in leading and managing security at the executive level. The teachings are equally appropriate for current CISOs looking to sharpen and enhance their leadership skills.
During this intensive 3 ½ day program, participants will:
- Analyze communication strategies and how they relate to cybersecurity, digital and care strategies
- Understand what tools and techniques work for cybersecurity in specific use cases and situations
- Align cyber strategy to organizational IT strategy
- Identify priorities within cybersecurity strategy – Case Study 1
- Justify the use of a change framework for a specific situation or individual entity
- Develop a plan to sustain change
- Create a case for change within an organization – Case Study 2
- Consider who your “customers” are within your individual entities
- Classify the wants and needs of their different consumers or systems/data
- Create a plan to meet the wants and needs of those consumers
- Develop skills to deal with Executives and Boards to develop buy in
- Analyze governance and prioritization models
- Develop multiple ways to demonstrate organizational value within your organization
- Analyze why it is important to develop high performance teams
- Compare characteristics of a high and low performing team

Don’t delay! Space in the Boot Camp is limited to a maximum of 40 participants. The registration fee includes all program materials as well as breakfasts, lunches, receptions, and group dinner. Cancellation Policy:
