Announcing Innovation Beyond the Edge Season 2
Season 1 of Innovation Beyond the Edge showcased innovative industry initiatives in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thought leaders across the CHIME ecosystem delivered first-hand accounts of creative problem solving and success stories amidst the healthcare crisis, and breakout sessions allowed attendees to discuss ideas and share concerns among their peers.
Because of the great ideas and information shared, CHIME Innovation will launch Season 2 of Innovation Beyond the Edge on August 25th. Season 2 aims to broaden the audience, expand session topics, and incorporate feedback from the Season 1 attendees.
Listen to the webinars below and see what people had to say about the value of Innovation Beyond the Edge; we hope to see you next season.
New in Season 2
Why are we doing this?
As COVID continues to prevent our members from meeting in person, we want to ensure that we have outlets to share stories of innovation across our healthcare ecosystem — both for organizations with new ideas for share and for organizations looking for inspiration and insight into what’s next. This next season of Innovation Beyond the Edge will continue those conversations, plus give attendees the option to participate in interactive breakout sessions with other members. We hope that bringing new ideas and innovations to the forefront helps provide motivation, inspiration, and ideation among participants.
Updated session format
- Introductions from CHIME and supporters
- 20-minute presentation from a provider organization executive
- 10-minute Q&A session with the speaker
- Optional 15-minute virtual round-table discussion:
- Attendees that decide to participate in the breakouts will be automatically assigned into a group following Q&A
- Breakouts will include 2-3 questions to guide discussion

What Members Had to Say
It is great to hear the perspective of leaders in the field.
I enjoyed talking with other colleagues to see if my organization is on track with what others have been doing (or not).
The content is always interesting, but interacting with other members, especially in the small groups, was the most helpful and enjoyable.
Breakout sessions were helpful, collaborative, engaging and informative.
[It was] Time well spent to engage with peers and hear how others are dealing with common issues.

Impact of Season 1
We’re glad that so many CHIME members were able to take advantage of Season 1 of Innovation Beyond the Edge. Attendees had the opportunity to hear innovative, inspiring and interesting stories about remote care, telehealth and agility to implement new ideas during the COVID pandemic.
If you missed those sessions, please be sure to check out the archives at the bottom of the page.
We Want to Hear Your Story
The second season of Innovation Beyond the Edge will begin August 25th and run through the Fall, with one presentation broadcast every other week. We’re seeking presentation abstracts highlighting creative problem solving and innovation. The opportunity to present is available to all CHIME members. Presenters should be able to deliver sessions in approximately 20 minutes and will be asked to participate in a live Q&A with attendees following the presentation. If interested, please send an abstract to Jonathan Fritz, CHIME CIO, [email protected]
We hope you become a part of our Season 2 presenter lineup!
