UC Davis Joins Prominence and Databricks at HIMSS

Dr. Jason Adams joins Prominence Advisors at HIMSS to co-present "Streamlining the Path to Business Insights using Large Language Models" with Databricks. This session will feature insights from the UC Davis Health team on enhancing researcher productivity through advanced data access and cohort creation. By combining Databricks Foundation Model APIs and Mosaic AI Model Serving, Prominence developed a scalable Natural Language Processing (NLP) pipeline that transforms unstructured clinical notes into structured data for research analytics. Additionally, With Unity Catalog and the AI/BI Genie, clinician-researchers can quickly generate SQL from natural language queries against a de-identified OMOP database, lowering barriers to data exploration and patient cohort identification before IRB approval.
