NASHVILLE, February 17 – The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and KLAS Research announced today that Abridge had won the first annual Trailblazer award for their generative AI platform for clinical conversations. Russ Branzell, president and CEO of CHIME, and Adam Gale, CEO of KLAS, presented the award at ViVE 2025 today. The Trailblazer award celebrates a vendor that exemplifies the pinnacle of innovation and impact in healthcare. Eligible recipients must demonstrate a commitment to advancing health and care through exceptional leadership and transformative innovation.
Recipients are selected based on their outstanding KLAS performance scores, meaningful client feedback, and measurable contributions to industry progress. These vendors stand out as innovators and creators of true connections, pioneering transformative solutions that drive the healthcare industry forward. Abridge was recognized for achieving the highest KLAS score, demonstrating strong impact, being newly founded, and serving big, complex customers.
According to Abridge, their enterprise-grade AI solution for clinical conversations—integrated directly inside Epic’s system—cuts documentation time, improves well-being, and decreases system-wide clinician burnout. On February 5, 2025, Abridge received the 2025 Best in KLAS award for the Ambient Speech segment.
“We depend on trailblazers to advance healthcare in ways we didn’t think possible,” said Gale. “Abridge has gone above and beyond to deliver impactful, transformative results with their AI solution.”
“We are witnessing the beginning of an AI-fueled innovation cycle that will revolutionize the delivery and impact of healthcare technology,” said Branzell. “Abridge is truly a trailblazer in showing how this is done.”
